I don’t mean drifting like in Mario Kart, but drifting when using the term to describe friends, or people who were friends. It sucks. It sucks because you know people are slowly growing farther from you, but you don’t do a thing about it because you’re too stubborn too or you know them so well that you believe that they’ll come back and you’ll patch things up. Either way, losing friends is like skidding off the road - your heart stops, but then it beats again. The conversations you once had for hours upon hours turn into pointless likings on facebook, tumblr, and twitter. What’s even worse is when both of you know this is happening, but neither of you do anything about it.
